(link courtesy of V-V) Article is a little old but an 800 capacity venue in Denmark Street sounds good to me. Central London shouldn't be all chain coffee shops, restaurants and stores. |

Hopefully it won't go the same way as The Marquee Club and be so expensive to hire out that noone ever puts on decent gigs there. It'll probably be a soulless O2 type venue but I hope to be proved wrong! |

Not really a venue as such but saw that the Intrepid Fox will be closing as a result of Crossrail soon. Not directly as a result of the works - the landlord's sold up to a developer who wants to smash a load of flats right nearby because of the Crossrail development. I think that's right anyway. Not a place I frequent, but it's always sad to see places with actual character disappear. Although I notice that Byron burgers have now taken down that awful BYRON AT THE INTREPID FOX from the original sight which got bashed down for the St. Giles development. |
