I was wondering if anybody still bothers checking out threads like the classics and covers thread and if there was any point in continuing to post there. So, I started to jot down the number of views on each of these threads. Bit surprised to find the classics thread often has 250 - 300 hits in a 24 hour period. Between posting yesterday's (She Can Rock by Little Ike) at 4.10pm and today's (I Can't Let Go by Evie Sands), there had been just over 400 hits. This seems to be specific to the classics thread; the covers thread managed about 60 in the same period. Who are all these people, or is there so little to do on Kev's island that he is clicking several hundred times a day? What's going on and why don't any of the people visiting the thread post something there? |

I check both threads most days - rarely more than once though so it's not me... |

I visit both on an irregular basis - bit like these forums in general at the mo'. The forums are linked on the main site's home page so there could be follow ons from there and possibly from facebook. |

Occasionally. Mainly check the new band thread when time is short. |

I tend to click on the Classics thread when I see the last poster wasn't milchy so I can listen to something other than post punk or garage... ![]() ![]() ![]() *cue milchy with some dubious stats that prove only 93% of his last 32 posts were post punk or garage* |

I click in the Classics thread a lot but contribute nothing. It's just take take take with me ![]() I like reading other peoples' choices and then checking them out. |

That's five people accounted for; only another 395 to go! |

I would imagine the fact that there are thousands of links to Youtube in the classics thread probably plays a part in relation to bots etc. Youtube gathers lots of stats due to advertising about where views have come from and so on. |

So in answer to your original question: 5 forum regulars bother with it, and that's about all! |
