Take a look at O's season ticket holder and editor of Kerrangs' twitter account: @jamesjammcmahon

He called out a section of the crowd on singing a sexist chant and he's been hassled to the point where he wants to sell his season ticket. Fucking morons.

Yeah I've been watching this because I follow him. Can't say I enjoy most of his posting about football, but he's taking on a bit of a beast here and fair play to him.

Don't think that him taking on the entrenched sexist views of legions of hardened O's will end successfully mind but good to see someone having a crack, especially in light of seeing young kids chanting the songs and that.

Agree with what you have said Westie, he's got no chance of succeeding. And his footie posts can be annoying. But it's still good to see someone challenge these knuckleheads.

Kerrang (under his watch) are doing interesting stuff around raising awareness of mental health (especially depression) issues at the moment.

Yep, agreed.

Think Kerrang! sales are actually holding up under him pretty well too, last I heard. Fair play.

Love the way that the 'Clapton Ultras' changed the line to "Pie, mash and Orient".

Don't actually find the song that offensive in all honesty.

It doesn't insinuate harming anyone, it doesn't call women offensive terms i.e 'it's full of whores' or something of the like. It's just a stupid song.

Would I prefer it wasn't sung? Yeah, but there are properly out of order nasty songs that get sung every week in the fucking Premier League that I'd take to task before harping on about a bunch of Orient fans bragging that there are lots of 'fannies' where they live...

Erm what is the big deal? He went nuts over a lame, really lame song that just quotes facts - there are tits and fannies there as there are everywhere - it's primary school stuff of the football singing sort. What a weird choice of song to lose it about. Here's the deal - football is a great game but it's a game that is controlled by mob behaviour - no doubt about it. I'm not sure what he was expecting when he decided to tweet what he did but surely he was not expecting a civilised argument with people singing about fannies and tits?

Anyway according to some posters there was a civilised argument that he did not partake in. I think he's thrown his bottle out off his pram on this one - and I think he regrets it because all he has achieved is a football club losing a fan. Nobody gives a shit what he thinks about the reasoning behind some ditties about titties.

Also Kerrang - is he having a larf? I used to read this because my friend used to buy it and it was packed with images of women and articles on them that people could easily be offended by.

What has this McMahon chap done wrong? It doesn't seem like he fancies himself as some sort of messiah in the stands.

The line about the little girl sitting next to her Dad in front of him crystallises his annoyance. Shoulder-shrugging over the casual mob mentality that pervades football culture won't always stop someone getting pissed off now and again.

Fans of all clubs sing that song and I've always found it annoying and crass but the fella's handling of the situation wasn't particularly well thought through. Besides, there's loads and loads wrong with football but that long sung little ditty is just the cherry on the titty.

A kneejerk from a bloke on Twitter is just that.

For reasons I still can't fathom, I once ended up at Celtic v Rangers match in Glasgow. Expecting an exchange of witticisms, the abuse quickly kicked in with one mob turning towards a chubby guy on the fringes of the other to politely ask "who ate all the pies?" I was just relieved it wasn't me. On that occasion anyway.
