For those not in the know; Mark Kozelek was pissed off with War on Drugs 'cos their sound bled into his at a festival so he went into a silly rant about them and he also called the crowd a bunch of hillbillies 'cos that's the kind of guy he is. He's now written and released a song called Classic buffoonery. |

Yeah he's gone way too far with this. Way too far. There's a certain element of tongue-in-cheekness here but... yer man from War On Drugs said on twitter he was a bit dismayed by it all because he was a fan of Koz and all that. Should've just stopped it there but for some reason he's finding it quite funny to persist... Bit odd, but at the same time it isn't a vintage Kozelek gig without him getting angry at someone or something or other. He's gone too far with this one mind. Bit funny also with him taking the piss out of War On Drugs sounding like 80s soft rock or whatever. On Songs For A Blue Guitar there are covers of songs by Wings, Yes and The Cars! Bloody lunatic... |

Also with Sun Kil Moon's profile being much higher this year owing to massively good reviews for the new album, I hope this doesn't mean more folk going to his gigs deliberately on the wind up just to get him to go off on one on stage. Because that would fuck me off no end. His next gig's in Hackney so... that's a worry. |
