Just snaffled a ticket to see The Cure on Tuesday. First time seeing them since 1987. So I make that a 27 year gap. It got me thinking about the longest gap between seeing a band and I couldn't beat 27 years for The Cure. So yeah these are the longest gaps I could think of.... 27 years (1987-2014) - The Cure 22 years (1987-2009) - The Primitives 21 years (1991-2012) - Motorhead 16 years (1992-2008) - My Bloody Valentine 15 years (1990-2005) - Pixies |

Young Marble Giants (1980 or 81 - 2013). 32 or 33 years. |

I managed nearly 13 years between Sisters of Mercy gigs. Wish I hadn't bothered with the second one. |
