I don't know I anyone reads this anymore but anyway I was asked by a friend how a band from Brighton who know nobody in London can get to play a few gigs. I know nothing about this side of things so I thought I would ask. Do you send demos to people, if so who? They have a proper record out and everything and my friend thinks they are the best thing ever. Thanks in advance |

Tell them to contact a few bands in a similar genre and ask if they want to put on a gig together. Then choose a venue. Promoters ( with the odd exception) are rubbish. Out of curiosity who are they? In answer to you original question - first time I've logged on in a few months. |

I listen to demos and I put shows on. Tell them to message me through the oddboxrecords.com site. |

Get them to put it on Twitter and Facebook too. If they tag @SoundsXP in then I can retweet it. A good few venues and labels follow us so you never know... |

Actually, Jim, I know a venue who might well be interested. Have just emailed them so I'll PM you when I hear anything. |
