Inspired by the recollections of Menswear, other acts that are, in essence, one 'not really a hit' wonders spring to mind-you know, go to see 'em live and realise that's it. Menswear's one was that song that went ''my favourite thing has gone away....trying jolly hard to chase you round the bend'' or summat like that. The album was pony, though. I remember heckling the Warm Jets during their NME tour thing, with the chant mentioned in the subject line... Any others? |

that's 'i'd manage somehow' i think. incidentally, the guitarist from menswear now manages bloc party. stuff that springs to mind your smile - octopus rollercoaster - northern uproar afrodisiac - powder sleep freak - heavy stereo i listened to the first (only?) sleeper album last week, and was surprised at how bad it was. anyone know when the new world of twist album is coming out? |
