Thee SPC release Champion Kickboxer album "Perforations" on 5th June
'Perforations' comes after four years of Champion Kickboxer playing, writing, singing and gigging together. They waited until they were happy with themselves, until they had filled the holes in their songs. And it was worth the time and effort: The thing you notice first about Champion Kickboxer is how considered and deliberate every note and word is, how each is perfectly placed. This is a record that combines careful intricacy with natural delivery; noise meets space meets harmony and discord, showing a collective fondness for minimalist art rock, punk, and the pop song. Distorted keyboards clash with vocal harmonies, nervous dances, saucepans.
