Hello,

A few of our bands have been in the studio recording songs for various projects and i thought i'd inform your goodselves.

The Sequins have been recording a new album and the now theyre streaming two different tracks every couple of weeks. Have a listen and see what you think. Must stress that theyre all still works in progress


Dead! Dead! Dead!'s (a punctuation nightmare) recent forays in the studio have been shrouded in mystery (i have no idea what's going on) but theyve posted two ace new songs on myspace.


Korova have also put two new songs on myspace. A bit At The Drive In, a bit Smashing Pumkins and a lot epic. I like.


This isn't (just) self promotion, i genuinely want to know what people think to the new songs.

Quite liked all three, but especially The Sequins (and not just because they're from Cov). "Nun of the 50's" is a fine track, I think: scratchy, frantic, charming.

Dead! Dead! Dead! - "George Lassoes..." was the best of their two. The "stop/start" business works well.

Korova - I see what you mean by "epic". Unfortunately, I don't go much for epic. Plus, the vocalist has that "sensitive soul in pain" thing going on which always makes me slightly queasy. But don't get me wrong - it was better than a lot of stuff on BBC6 Music and I imagine they'd go down a strom live.

we were supposed to do a gig with d!d!d! the other day but they cancelled. we had fun with rebus anyway.

i have a secret "art fag" side project called :!:!:! (pr COLON! COLON! COLON!) but we haven't recorded anything yet. we may never.

howdy - were you at the tough love thing in cov a couple of weeks back?

That Dead Dead Dead track is a single we released a while back. The top two on the profile are the new ones. The same goes for Korova, but it's the last two on The Sequins profile that are the new ones. It's all very complicated.

Honeytrap have some new songs on their profile now too. The first two are from the next EP (I believe some copies of which have been sent to the Spundsxp towers already...)

We're going to put something out soon which may incorporate one or two of these songs. They're just demos at the moment, but i think they sound pretty sparky.

Also, has anyone heard the Situationists yet? They played our all dayer in December and i was mightily impressed. Covering Daft Punk's One More Time was a stroke of genius!
