Fulhäst (London, via Sweden)
http://fulhast.tumblr.com/Album launch show for the new 12" coming out on Fika!
Nik used to be half of Moustache of Insanity. He's now 100% Fulhäst. Tales of pop culture and murder and love and comics. Possibly. Sometimes done on a gameboy. Sometimes on a guitar. Always raising a smile.
'Down The Deuce' was released by Fika Recordings on Game Boy shaped cassette (limited edition of 100) in June 2012. It's long gone. Oh yes.
Tyrannosaurus Dead (Brighton)
http://tyrannosaurusdead.bandcamp.com/A 5 piece band from Brighton that make melodic, fuzzed out, noise pop. There new 12" EP 'Pure // Apart' (produced by Rory Attwell) is due imminently on Odd Box. I'm really fucking really excited by this band.
"a fast-paced whirlwind of intertwined vocals and noise that takes approximately .02 seconds to grab your attention and doesn't let go one bit until it's over" - Just Music That I Like
"Anyway, he’s (Rory Attwell) just lent his reverb soaked fingertips to the latest EP from Brighton five-piece Tyrannosaurus Dead. The record - set to be released on 12” vinyl via Odd Box on May 6th - includes the wonderful “Sadie” which sounds every bit as beautiful as has come to be expected from Mr Attwell" - VICE
Arts & Leisure (Sacramento, United States)
http://artsandleisure.bandcamp.com/Gorgeous melodic indiepop from the USA. They're doing just 2 UK dates and we're chuffed they're doing this one for Odd Box. Arts & Leisure combines elements of 60s pop, 70s power pop, 80s new wave, and 90s shoegaze. Formed in 2011 by songwriter/vocalist/guitarist Gerri White, guitarist Cory Vick, and drummer Tim White, the friends teamed up with songwriter/vocalist/bassist Becky Cale to craft their own brand of sweet, buzzy, hook-laden indiepop.
Woog Riots (Germany/Italy)
Back in 2009 at The Wilmington Arms we had the first ever Odd Box show. Woog Riots played it. This year they're coming back and they're playing Indietracks. So they're doing a little tour and we're chuffed to have them back playing for us.
With the distinctive boy-girl vocals of Silvana Battisti and Marc Herbert, underscored by keyboards, jagged guitars and electrobeats, the German-Italian Woog Riots are a cross-over between electropop, postpunk and Indie.
The band started its popcareer in 2004 putting together their own and international compilation album in tribute to iconic Manchester band The Fall and Mark E Smith.
