Lostmusic Presents is happy to be branching out a little from it's indiepop roots - and on Thursday August 14th we have a cracking shoegaze night lined up - featuring Secret Shine, Air Formation, Model Morning and Autocolt.
Thursday August 14th
The Gramaphone, 60-62 Commercial St, Spitalfields, London, E1.
(Liverpool Street and Aldgate East Tube Stations)
Secret Shine
Once on Sarah Records and heavily shoegaze/noisepop - this Bristol band returned in 2004 and have been thrilling audience ever since - sounding like a distant cousin of My Bloody Valentine with dreamy vocals and fuzzy guitars - the band's new material has matched what came in the early 1990s. We're delighted they've agreed to do a Lostmusic Presents show.
Air Formation
Having released records on Distant Noise Records, Drive-In Records, Clairecords and Club AC30. This Sussex based quintet make dreamy shoegaze pop. The band has been creating uplifting song based space-rock since late 1999. Born out of a love for ‘Flying Saucer Attack’ and the likes of ‘Spacemen 3’ & ‘The Jesus and Mary Chain’ Air Formation create songs awash with heavily delayed guitar and feedback, interwoven with keyboard drones and whispered vocals.
Model Morning
Model Morning are Chris Moore, Peter Morley, Richard Davidson, Edmund Keenan and Robert McCleary. They come from Nottingham. They play dark euphoric soundscapes blending elements of early 90s Shoegaze into three and a half-minute pop songs.
Autocolt
Formed through a mutual love of late 70s and early 80s cinema, Psychedelic Rock n Roll, Early synthesis experiments, Techno, Sci-fi novels and fuzz pedals. Autocolt come to you through the use a bunch of synths, a casio with a bad temperament, a drum machine and a collection of guitars and basses.
Tickets will be on sale shortly from We Got Tickets for just £5.
It will be £6 w/Flyer and £7 on the door.
