Sketches For Albinos
Yes our Icelandic friend returns to Manchester to play another WotGodForGot ‘special’ at the Retro Bar, Sackville Street, Manchester and this will be the only Nortyh West appearance in this short summer tour.
Camped out somewhere is deepest, iciest Iceland, Sketches for Albinos is making intensly evocative post rock sounds and broken electronic music influenced by his homeland. Glorious soundscapes and songs that conjure up images of deep sea creatures, iceflows, snowdrifts and distant volcanic eruptions.
Signed to Imoto Records who plan to digitally re-master and re-release the first SFA 2006 recording next month (July 2008) to compliment the critically acclaimed 10 track album ‘Red’.

Worried About Satan
This Yorkshire duo take electronic bleeps and bips and add post-rock ambient heart and soul to produce a gripping memorable sound. All you really need to know about their music is that Silent Ballet, the most influential post rock based web site, rated their release EP.02 with 7/10 saying “Worried About Satan are, without a doubt, shining brightest of all of post-rock’s rising stars”

Lancashire born Denis is a favourite of ours and we’ve always said that one day he’ll be a star and we stick by that! With a beat up old guitar Denis blends a soulful folky voice with electronic gizmos to produce a uniquely pleasing sound to accompany his intelligent lyrics. Wonderful!

Emerge from the suburbs of Manchester to play another WotGodForGot gig. Why do we keep asking them back, it’s simple – they are just too good not to have on. This is band that has grown in confidence and now has nerve to say “Hey, this is us and this is our sound”. Not afraid to throw in vocals with their subtle guitars and polyrhthmic drum pattern driven post rock - somewhat akin to 65 Days of Static, only more ambient. The good news is the band have a new EP out called “Dinner with a Thirty Watt Lightbulb” and the even better news is they are more than happy to GIVE you a copy of it – worth the entry price alone!
