Hello all, just a wee reminder about Wednesday's show. Tickets are still available priced only 7 ponds sterling and are available from LONDON BUSH HALL- WEDNESDAY 16TH MAY, 2007 7.30pm Lucky Soul (10pm) Greenwich six-piece Lucky Soul are fronted by Ali Howard - "evocative of arch divas from all points Dusty Springfield to Nina Persson" (The Guardian). They've been tipped for great things everywhere their bitterly sweet lyrics and Spector-tinged strings have sent them. Their debut album 'The Great Unwanted' was released April 10th through their own label Ruffa Lane, and is full of songs that feel like in another, fairer world they could each be a number one single: "An immediate classic." (Independent on Sunday 5/5) "Pop at its most glorious and heartbreaking." Davo (guitars, loops, vocals) and Lolly (more guitars, loops, vocals) blend church bells, boy-girl vocals, loops, twists, warps, walls of sound and edgy guitars to rekindle the idea of Sandista-era Clash having an, erm, shootout with Phil Spector.
