THE SOUNDCARRIERS
Hailing from west coast Nottingham, The Soundcarriers’ patchwork-psychedelic sound morphs into out-and-out groove before your very ears. Intruded only by 3-part harmonies, those who hear them find it impossible to describe their vibes let alone keep still as they combine guitar, flute, theremin and vintage organ sounds together with a tight-as-you-like rhythm section, building soaring soundscapes to rival Pink Floyd and Jefferson Airplane without forgetting the virtues of a good pop tune. The NME described their debut 45 “I Had A Girl” on Heron Records as “top banana”.
“As if The Stone Roses had spent the years between their two albums listening to Fairport Convention instead of Led Zeppelin… casually brilliant” (Fire Escape Talking)

THE SEE SEE
The new project from Swedish-born multi-instrumentalist and singer Richard Olson, founder member of critically-acclaimed psychedelic folk band The Eighteenth Day of May. When The May sadly decided to call it a day at the start of 2007 whilst on the verge of recording their hotly-tipped second album, Richard simply kept on doing what he's always done; writing songs. Fusing a love of traditional music with sixties psychedelia, this fledgling project promises to be an eclectic melting-pot of all things psyche, folk and even country – with a twist of rock, and a lot of drone. Band members include Richard Olson, Pete Greenwood, Ben Swank (ex-Soledad Brothers) and Kevin Peyok (The Waxwings).
“West Coast rock with folky overtones and dreamy psychedelia… they could be very big; go hear them, go see see them” (SoundsXP)

LIMN
Limn are a five-piece instrumental band who pursue a sometimes angular, often beautiful, and always intriguing approach to rhythm and composition.
"Constantly interchanging instruments which include drums, guitars, bass, trombone, trumpet and drum machine, their sound combines a range of varied influences, with elements of Town and Country, Jim O' Rourke and Tortoise, with a unique blend of brass which can move from ska-like to Mexican melodies. Soaring and uplifting with joyous gusto, Limn excite with every tune" (Utrophia)

MIXEDCASES
Mark lives in London and plays drums in the band Wolfie, guitar in Fanfarlo and makes amazing videos and websites. He also played guitar for Candie Payne at the Astoria recently (whoo, look at him!). Anyway, Mixedcases is Mark by himself and the closest reference point is probably Martin Carr’s post-Boo Radleys BraveCaptain electronic solo project. There are lots of mp3s on his website, go listen. This is his debut gig.
