LAWM presents a night of absolute brilliant mayhem – the best in British off kilter pop - not to be missed! Lancaster's most fun gig of the year? We think so!
MISTY’S BIG ADVENTURE (UK)
A glorious 8 piece band from Birmingham, MISTY'S BIG ADVENTURE are made up of brothers and sisters and twins and saxophones and trumpets and cute, weird dancers who produce the most uplifting, life affirming tunes you will hear since Louie Armstrong played with the Lovin Spoonful. Dave from The Zutons loves them, so much so that he invited them on tour, twice and they were invited to support The Magic Numbers, The Guillemots and The Pipettes last year. To our knowledge they are the most original and fun band touring the UK these days. If you've not had the pleasure of seeing them live then it's certainly time you welcomed Misty's Big Adventure into your lives! Part of a huge UK tour showcasing tunes from their new album.

KATE GOES (BIRMINGHAM)
Touring with Misty's are brum friends KATE GOES. Totalling five members they perhaps owe a little more to the sounds of the US anti-folk scene, albeit with a much better sense of humour! So compared to Misty's their sound is more stripped down. Including clarinet in their ensemble they write hilarious songs. As one reviewer said "It’s glee-ridden cutesy-core music that you’d want to take on a picnic even if it’s raining, and a band you’d want living in your brain just in case the threat of gloominess ever approaches"

AND WHAT WILL BE LEFT OF THEM? (WORCESTER)
AND WHAT WILL BE LEFT OF THEM? are currently working on their debut album. "The best proto-post-neo-punk-electro-poptart band ever" (Darkworld Fanzine), they have extensively toured the UK. Following a run of single releases on the influential Filthy Little Angels label, the band's last release was 'Wet Week In July', a free download-only single from The Little Hellfire Club. Three years old with a plethora of perfect pop, national radio support and a dedicated fan-base AWWBLOT? are one of the best live bands on the circuit; making regular, alcopop induced appearances at club nights across the country. "Look out for AWWBLOT outshining The Chalets and The Long Blondes" ARTROCKER

ONCE CHIP POTATO (LANCASTER)
ONE CHIP POTATO AND THE TRANSCENDENTAL WATERMUSICIANS are one of Lancaster's most popular groups producing catchy numbers which work well as an outlet for their curious predilictions for both pirates and sunflowers! Capable of a level of slightly controlled pop mayhem that should suit well tonight.

KRISS FOSTER (LANCASTER)
Kicking off the night is local cult hero KRISS FOSTER best known for his songs about Morecambe (with Kazoo!) and Dale Winton. Often appears in bizarre fancy dress so it's anyone's guess what he will be dressed up as tonight!
