Yup, already got our tickets for this.
I'm not sure I'd describe Monade as 'new', though!
Socialisme Ou Barbarie, released in 2003
on Drag City after being produced part-time
over a period of six years. Mostly bedroom
recordings by Laetitia.
A Few Steps More, released in 2005
on Too Pure. A full band record,
a bit rockier than the first, I think.
Both are worth hearing. I'm massively looking forward to seeing Monade live! I've heard good things about Vanessa & The O's, too. Really sadly, there are at least two other gigs happening on the 15th that I'd also have liked to have attended. Ah well, I can't say no to a gig featuring Laetitia!
Edit: I realise you may have just meant that it was a new project from her Monade group, not that Monade themselves are new. Apologies for teaching you to suck eggs if so!
