The Next Big FRINK Beans On Toast @ New Cross Inn Saturday 2nd February 9pm-2am £3/£2 students (or people who are 'attending' on Facebook) FRINK presents the best of unsigned art rock and indie pop guitar bands in trendy South East London at the New Cross Inn. Previous bills have included: Die! Die! Die!, Mama Shamone, Ebony Bones, Blah Blah Blah, The Fatels, The Natives, Mac Black and the Gallows, The Pepys, O2 music award winners Jag, and Diesel-U-Music award winners Shuffle. This Saturday we present: Beans On Toast (LIVE!) - http://www.myspace.com/sexdrugspolitics A matter-of-fact man with an acoustic guitar who sounds conspicuously like Billy Bragg. Each provocative rhyme airs his views on sex, drugs or politics, but realistically. He is someone to either ignore, or celebrate, but promises to provoke conversation. Velofax (LIVE!) - http://www.myspace.com/velofax Having received rave reviews from their debut album, the Jersey foursome are hitting up the New Cross Inn. To quote Artrocker, "Velofax are guaranteed to kraut rock their way into your hearts." LINE-UP ADDITION: The Patty Winters Show (LIVE!) - http://www.myspace.com/thepattywintersshow The Patty Winters Show are a testimony to the saying that once you FRINK you just can't stop because having played our first Marquee gig, they're back for more. Expect mellow memorable art-rock with some mighty fine looking socks. +++ FRINK DJs & DJ Elvis Address: 323 New Cross Road London New Cross SE14 6AS Transport: New Cross Gate/New Cross train station (trains every five minutes from London Bridge) +++Bus routes: 45, 453 (24 hrs), 436, 177, 171, 36, 21, 136, 225, 321, 453, 53, N89, N36, N171 Maria Le Frink xoxo. |
