Cherryade Records is very pleased to be hosting an amazing gig at Cafe Saki in Rusholme on April 20th. The night is being put on to celebrate the highly anticipated launch of the debut single by rising teen indiepop sensations The Kabeedies. The Kabeedies hail from Norwich and have been wowing audiences with their captivating live shows. Their irresistably fizzy, catchy, clever candy pop has earnt them sessions on Huw Stephens' Radio 1 show and Mark Riley's 6 Music show and regular airplay from a host of other 6 Music dj's including Tom Robinson and Steve Lamacq. It will also be a chance to get hold of a copy of their new single before it's released and be the envy of all your friends! This will be the band's first Manchester gig and it is going to be a night not to be missed! You can hear some of the band's perfect pop on their Myspace page, including the new single, be warned though, it's nearly impossible to stop humming these songs when you've heard them! www.myspace.com/hotpantsromance Support comes from three of the finest acts in Manchester (if not the country!) Hotpants Romance - a band so utterly, mind-blowingly amazing that you really have to hear them to understand, mere words can't do them justice so visit their Myspace to have a listen and come to the gig to experience the Hotpants live phenomenon! www.myspace.com/hotpantsromance Ste Mccabe - - 'Manchester[s queen of punk pop', Ste writes the kind of perfect pop songs most can only dream of and somehow, incredibly manages to deal with important social issues while doing so! Ste's songs are barbed, funny, sad, beautiful and motivating, his righteous anger is always right on target, tackling homophobia and general small-minded Daily Mail reader attitudes in the kind of breath-takingly witty and honest way that few can, plus you can sing and dance along, I can't imagine what more you could possibly want! Hooray! Ste's debut ep 'Pink Bomb' is available now on Cherryade www.myspace.com/stemccabe Hug Party - Fabulous hip pop duo with some of the catchiest songs around, I dare you not to dance! Hug Party contributed a track to 'A Very Cherry Christmas 3'. www.myspace.com/hugpartyparty To sum up, you would have to go a very long way to find a line-up like this plus it's only £3 on the door and there'll be cherry sweeties for everyone, we really are spoiling you! Doors are at 8pm, there will be djing on the night from Cherryade dj's and Ste Mccabe (who has an enviable taste in music!) so remember to bring your dancing shoes! SAKI BAR IS RIGHT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE CURRY MILE, NEXT. TO WHITWORTH PARK, See you there!
