ARE WEAPONS A.R.E. Weapons is an electro/punk band from New York City. They were formed in 1999 by Matthew McAuley, Brain McPeck and Ryan Noel. In 2002 Paul Sevigny join the band as keyboard player/manager. In 2004 bassist Ryan Noel passed away. When drummer Erik Rapin was added in 2004 they achieved their current line-up as a 4-piece. www.myspace.com/areweapons ULTERIOR Ulterior are a genre dodging 4 piece from London. Originally formed in it’s current guise in 2006 as a 3 piece set up of brothers Paul (vocals) and Benn (machines and programing) and guitarist, Simmons. A 4th member, Karl, was introduced on synths in the summer of 2007. Their debut single arrived on Disc Error Records in Dec 07 with the follow up due in early 2008 while an album is being recorded. Often compared to a large mixture of artists including; The Jesus and Mary Chain, Suicide, Spacemen 3, Big Black, Underworld and My Bloody Valentine. Their aggressive live shows have attracted growing acclaim in 2007, and with large bill supports slots with the likes of The Horrors, White Rose Movement, Sonic Boom and Black Strobe the band are expected to make a large jump in 2008. www.myspace.com/electricityisblood £5 on the door.
