Zombie-Zombie Ruby Lounge, Manchester 26/01/09 Vintage & Analogic Electro-Kraut : Zombie Zombie is Etienne Jaumet, sax and a collector of vintage synthesisers and Neman, drummer of Herman Düne. A couple of lines on monophonic synths plus some mean krautrock drums is their game. Album to be release on Versatile (Joakim, I:Cube) early 2008. "Can meets Suicide meets Cosmodrome meets LFO meets John Carpenter meets Sonic Boom. Scary" (Chronic'Art). "I really enjoyed them! Fine example of how rock and dance can be tasteful, energetic without break down the walls distorted synths or guitars. Bravo !" (Nick Chacona), "'Driving This Road' could be a lost Can anthem ! 4,5/5" DJ Mag. www.myspace.com/therealzombiezombie |

Support on the night comes from the very excellent Working For A Nuclear Free City, GNOD and The Christophers with Up The Racket DJ Wes. Working For A Nuclear Free City: One of Manchester's most mysterious and deservedly sought after bands now making a name for themselves in the USA after their South By South West appearance. The band showcase a hypnotic assortment of rock and electronic music accompanied by layers of soft vocals and the band have progressed with each successive release starting with a self titled offering in October 2006 an EP in March 2007 to their latest double album and best album of 2007 nominee 'Business Men and Ghosts'. A special band indeed worth the entry fee alone. "Best British band" - Lowdown Magazine Album of the Month - Rock Sound "Approaching genius" 4/5 The Sunday Telegraph "Restlessly invigourating" 3/5 - Q "The albums breadth and ambition are admirable ... exhilerating" The Times Find them on Youtube and more testimonials can be found on their myspace site:- www.myspace.com/wfanfc GNOD: are a musical collective that create the most psychedelic spaced out tripped out ambience you will ever experience without taking something illegal! This is an amazing stop motion animation film by Simon Gesrel and Xavier Ehretsmann. It's based on a John Carpenter film called The Thing. |
