London City Love Affair invite you to come and celebrate their official launch at London's finest new music venue, The Lexington, with special guests:
Being tipped for the top by pretty much everybody across the music industry, the Fox Cubs are noisecore party boys par excellence. Last year alone they were: hand-picked by Steve Lamacq to headline his stage at the Camden Crawl, played the BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds, played the Electric Proms, were made one of NME's Top 10 hopes for the future, and gigged with the likes of !Forward Russia!, Future of the Left, Goodbooks, Pull Tiger Tail, Red Light Company and The Stranglers' Hugh Cornwell.
This year seems sure to see Fox Cubs carry on the way they started, with more BBC dates, and a stint at the SXSW festival. There's just time for them to hit the Lexington for what promises to be a fantastic gig - unmissable...
Support comes from Sony/RCA new boys The New Devices. One of MSN Live's top 10 picks for 2009, and remixers of everyone from Beyonce to Britney, Christina Aguilera to Madcon, The New Devices peddle fantastic, Pendulum-esque electro. They really are a sight to behold live, and link up with LCLA as part of a mini tour in advance of their debut album release.
The final act taking the stage for us in January are the quite stupendous PHANTOM. Sounding like a cross between Alex Turner's side project The Last Shadow Puppets and PJ Harvey, PHANTOM create stunning soundscapes that send shivers down your spine.
After the bands, the London City Love Affair DJs take you on a tour of Club Bad, where all the bad little kiddies go, ably assisted by our extra-special guest DJs for the evening:
