HUSBANDS princes of the midnight and heart-throbs of the sewing-circle - the desperate young sound of trouble that's torn from the keys of casiotone and heartbeat metronome - spat out passionate, a floor-filler and kiss killer wrangled from punk promise and worn-out dance shoes. the modern soul of the noise/disco friction.
DRUNK GRANNY wild wild care-home rock - the noise-beat fag-bop of edie pain and deborah mmmrah cuts the class and hangs with the kids behind the tea shop - a situation that is as bare and awkward as it is invigorating and explosive. catch the mess, and taste the love bite of pure punk feminist-niks.
HEADFALL distinctly personal and meloncholic use of experimentala and pastoral noise. half-sung, shambolic and bittersweet sense of melody and pop sensibility.
WINSTON ECHO winston echo is the crabby writer of love songs, the dreamer in pessimist clothing; he's on the outside of the box where we all are, and leads us hand-clapped into singalong-a-bittersweet triumph! ours is the quiet victory of joy mapped out by modern lovers and friendly ghosts - deep
charted waters to an outlook previously known to us: an open observance and naive attendance; a song you sing to keep yourself company - and that's as punk as punk can get! and winston echo could be the best thing we ever had.
VILE VILE CREATURES scratch-out post punk dance party hip shakers; a ferocity of spectacle and scream tightly-packed and rollercoastered over, all angle-poised and bloody-nosed crushed out power pop brace-snappers! wear tuff shoes for dancing, and low heels for sliding.
COREY ORBISON the corey orbison combine jittery no-wave noise with cut-up tunes and a nervous energy inherited from the stripped-down disco-thèque, avant-garde placard-makers, riot grrrl pansy twists and the teen punk hardcore sweethearts of the 1980s. impulsive, rhythmic/off-rhythmic and erratic.
THE MIDDLE ONES grace and anna twist melodies and harmonies together; ancient accordions echo in attic rooms. sometimes fragile, sometimes raucous, sometimes haunting - always heartening
TCKI TKCY TAIKO DRUMMERS tcki tkcy weave japanese taiko drum rhythms with jagged guitar experiment to tangle a hypnotic and erratic noise. with members of god is my co-pilot, dawson, one ensemble and tattie toes.
TEA AND TOAST BAND an ever-changing collective of sharp minds and primal rhythms. tea and toast band bridge the gap between the forest and the circuit board, where animal yelps mix with crackling keyboards and eerie whistles. always different and always crazy.
MAT RIVIERE mixing both digital and analogue technologies, mat riviere grinds up sounds and forms them into cut-up-and-spliced songs that reflect the sun-faded past and the lonely future.
THE PHYSICISTS the grunge-out scrotchy punk youth of a break-neck steam and coursely-ground scream. the fierce and spitting mouth of rock'n'roll untamed!
THE JELAStrimmed and tightly wound angluar noise that bounces off walls, picks you up of the floor, dares you to dance, then knocks you back down on the floor again - pounce on the pace already! guitars ring clear, and a cacophony of rattles and squeaks richochet around the room to a chorus of young voices who state the case and win the race!
JAM ON BREAD a loveable man from grimsby, with just a ukulele for company, and a penchant for swedish indie pop.
ROSEANNE BARRR scream cream and bitch fits and armed with a bitterness in obscenities and a primitive disco beat, roseanne barrr are the new born london brat champs with a taste for blood and hickey bites and the one minute pop sensation.
CHAPS bloody family mess to make your flat-top curl. chaps are the brat beat sibling sound of the trouble-punk crowd, winning hearts and breaking guitars and dancing bare toed over glass for the pop thrash sugar crash!
