NAT JOHNSON (ex-Monkey Swallows The Universe)
Blessed with golden tonsils, Nat Johnson was the lead singer of the much loved Monkey Swallows the Universe, an acoustic indiepop band from Sheffield. Their debut album "The Bright Carvings" made Rough Trade's top 100 Albums of 2006, they supported Mercury-nominated Richard Hawley and Camera Obscura on tour, and performed sessions on both BBC Radio 6 and XFM. This is a first chance to see Nat with her new band.

Gravitating from Italy, Hong Kong, the UK and Canada, it's no surprise London-based 5 piece Sunny Day Sets Fire offer such a refreshing take with their orchestral, psychedelic pop. The end results are bright, richly textured recordings and explosive live performances, with band members often switching instruments on stage. Having recorded singles for many labels the band released their debut album "Summer Palace" earlier this year on IAmSound in the US and Wonderboat in the UK. The record's first single, "Adrenaline" was single of the week on NME.com, Steve Lamacq, Clash magazine and more.

ALLO, DARLIN’
Uke-wielding indie-folkster Elizabeth Darling and her friends play their finely wrought, witty pop tunes, indisputable girl-pop masterpieces each and every one, akin to the self-deprecating writings of Kirsty Macoll, and bittersweet funny, like forgotten outtakes from Joni Mitchell’s Blue. Her new EP out on WeePop soon features the fabulous “Henry Rollins Don’t Dance” with Terry Edwards on trumpet and sax.
