Mi Ami, Plank!, Asleep Beneath Volcanoes
At long last Mi Ami announce UK and Ireland dates.
San Francisco-based drum punk trio Mi Ami, featuring two key members of Dischord's hyper-percussive Black Eyes (Daniel Martin-McCormick on vocals and guitar, and Jacob Long on bass) and Damon Palermo on drums. Mi Ami are a powerful force, building on the promise of Black Eyes' spastic energy and renowned live performances, but steering it into a more focused, volatile, and personal direction. They kick off their tour with a couple of warm up nights before starting their tour proper in May. Kerrang gave their album a big Four out of five and the NME described the vocals as "the pure sound of sacrifical slaughter". The band have something trully unique to offer.
