What happens when you mix gothic trip-hop, funk, a touch of rockabilly and some ridiculously catchy new wave indie?! You get another fantastic line up at The Vale for the next gig night on Sunday 24th May - the second bank holiday weekend.
We are delighted to announce the line-up as follows (in order of appearance):
AURA NOCTIS

Aura Noctis formed in 2005/2006, when their musicians were involved with composing the music for Derek Acorah's "Ghost Towns" series 1, on Living TV.
Influenced by new wave, post punk, electronica, trip hop, darkness and mysteries, elightment and obscurity, they developed their unique style and performances involving dances, visuals, art, poetry. They had some collaborations with Pete Jones of Public Image Limited and opened for last year's Peter Hook (Joy Division/New Order) DJ set in Brixton.
Their shows are often something to talk about for days...
RICKY LIZARD

Ricky Lizard are a 3 piece funk rock band from Uxbridge made of brothers Tom and Brad Massey and Josh Whitfield. They are only recently formed but have already wowed crowds around the local areas. They write all their own material and be prepared to be blown away by Tom's guitar solos...they are worth the entry fee alone!!!
GOLD FUTURE JOY MACHINE

The brilliantly named Gold Future Joy Machine were formed in late 2008 and were formerly called Super Nashwan. Their live shows were often laced with superlatives and they received much critical acclaim for their rockabilly tinged songs. See the link below for a review of their first gig in early March. Their set at The Vale is much anticipated and not to be missed.

DEGA BREAKS

London's answer to The Killers? Well, Dega Breaks certainly have the capacity to go the distance with epic guitar, cosmic keys and a front man born with an anthem in his lungs. They're everything you could hope for in a band as scuzzy as the gutter, as epic as the stars.
They ooze the sort of decadence paraded through London's three quid clubs at three am. Young, beautiful and alive for the hour. With influences streaming from The Cure, Japan, Joy Division and Dexy's, Dega Breaks' subsequent cocktail of killer choruses and transcendental guitar solos looks set to project them far into the stadiums of tomorrow.
The gig is an all ages gig though there will be a strict ID policy for persons attempting to buy alcohol. Tickets are £7 on the door but can be obtained for £6 if you buy online securely via WeGotTickets.com (follow the link)
