Our launch party in April broke all house records, and we're back with another incredible bill, including award winning comedian JOSIE LONG, the sensational eight piece VOODOO TROMBONE QUARTET, the dancefloor beatmaking of ANCHORSONG and the rock'n'roll mayhem of ATOMIC SUPLEX. The downstairs CABARET ROOM features sets from the darkly comic PAUL BIRTILL and the witty BADEN PRINCE, hosted by VIC LAMBRUSCO. As ever, we'll have the legendary CRAFT CORNER plus a ton of DJs in three rooms.

JOSIE LONG
Winner of a ton of comedy awards including the If.comeddies (formerly Perrier) Best Newcomer 2006 prize, Josie is one of the UK's brightest and funniest young talents.
"My face hurt from laughing." Ross Noble
"It's probably scientifically impossible to dislike Long...a rare comedy talent. FIVE STARS!" Metro
"One of Britain's bright new hopes of the comedy scene" SUNDAY TIMES
"Like a schoolgirl with an overactive imagination Guardian
"Her stand-up radiates optimism and joy." TIME OUT

LIVE BANDS:

THE VOODOO TROMBONE QUARTET
Crowd delighting veterans of UK festivals like Bestival, Glastonbury, Pussy Parlure, Lost Vagueness and more, this hotwired eight piece thrown down a crazy mix of ska 45s, lounge and exotica, mixed up with a cheeky sense of humour and floor-filling contemporary dance beats.
"A superb collection of lounge-funk-ska tunes you'd be mad not to like" Amazon "Fez-topped musicians making joyful whoopee with brass and guitars... tight, bouncy happiness with occasional skank.... stomping good fun to open the festival " PlayLouder

ANCHORSONG
A hugely innovative solo project of Masaaki Yoshida from Tokyo, tracks are assembled live on stage using an Akai sampler and KORG Triton. Anchorsong has already proved an internet sensation, with his YouTube videos attracting over 100,000 views and being described by musicthing.com as the 'greatest Beat Making videos ever!'. It's unmissable stuff!

ATOMIC SUPLEX
Already huge in Japan, this loud, trashy rock'n'roll band serve up ample portions of bone-crunching, rivet-removing punk.
"Not so much a sonic cathedral as a sonic corrugated iron shed" Time out "Atomic Suplex dispense with the formalities (read: the tune) altogether, preferring to unleash one and a half minutes of pure offensive distortion. [They are] a rare thing of beauty – and deserve your ass for dinner" Artrocker

In the back room:
VIC LAMBRUSCO'S CABARET HOUR
'Abrasive political comedy' - Time Out
Comic piquancy - Independent
With a full line up of comedians, wags, poets and wordsmiths including:

PAUL BIRTILL
"Paul Birtill's rough, tough poems reflect the terrifying ordeal of physical and metaphysical life in British cities with uncompromising humour and unimposing insight. The critic Michael Horovitz, even suggested that Birtill's poems ought to be issued to patients in hospitals instead of pills or medicine."

A Week is a Long Time in Drinking Lost my job, Lost my wife, Lost my wallet, Lost my licence, Lost my sanity and got my head kicked in.
When most people are ill they get flowers, alcoholics get black eyes.

"A kind of anti-Laureate who makes Philip Larkin sound life affirming" Ham & High
"His stark and hard-hitting verse skillfully echoes the neuroses of 90's life" Irish Post
"Serious and deadpan, and then suddenly, incongruously comic" Time Out
"Bleedin' fabulous" John Cooper Clarke
"Darkly comic pieces" New Statesman
Buy his book: Willing to Change by Paul Birtill

BADEN PRINCE
Hard words from the speakeasy...
"Baden is s writer, performer and poetry entrepreneur who creates a big presence both on stage and on the page"
"Dry wit and poems about love, longing and sex"

CRAFT CORNER:
A massive hit at the last Offline, Craft Corner serves up a hands-on feast of glitter, sticky-back plastic, toilet rolls, empty detergent bottles, PVA glue and other messy stuff for big kids to get creative. Think: Blue Peter on Absinthe.

PLUS:

VIDEOS
Photography slideshow, festival footage and more.

PLUS A TON OF OF TOP DJS!
We'll also have a full crew of hard-drinking Offline regulars throwing down a selection of ska, punk, reggae, roots, rock'n'roll, new wave, punk, big band, garage rock and more, rocking on till the early hours.
