SIBRYDION
Having spent the last couple of years building up a loyal following in Wales with their Welsh language albums, Sibrydion released their debut 'English language' long player earlier this year. Produced by their friend Cian Ciaran from Super Furry Animals, “Campfire Classics” lassoes stories of Leone-inspired tales of betrayal and redemption whilst skimming a coin into Burt Bacharach's pool of bittersweet songwriting, to make a bright, dynamic, eccentric and slightly warped pop album .
Brothers Meilir and Osian Gwynedd began their musical life in a band called Big Leaves who quickly became one of Wales' most popular groups thanks to their love for big harmonies. Both brothers have contributed to Super Furry Animals albums in the past and Osian most recently played drums on tour with Gruff Rhys' Candylion project. Two Sibrydion singles were voted record of the week on the Radcliffe/Maconie R2 show, they’ve recorded a session for Marc Riley and the album was a Sunday Times album of the week.
