A Guided Missile fundraiser for the Frank Sidebottom Statue Fund... Thursday 8 March The Wolfhounds + Laetitia Sadier (Stereolab) + Pocketbooks Buffalo Bar, 259 Upper Street, N1 1RU (opposite Highbury and Islington tube). Advance (cheaper) tickets available here for £5: A fundraiser for the indie/comedy legend, Frank Sidebottom. The man underneath the papier mache head, Chris Sievey, sadly, died on June 21st 2010, after a short battle with cancer. Now, the FRANK SIDEBOTTOM STATUE FUND has been set up in an attempt to raise £60,000 for a bronze statue of Frank, which will be placed in Timperley Village as a permanent tribute / memorial.
