Finally, the announcement has landed here as well! R.RING The debut single of Kelley Deal and Mike Montgomery of Kentucky band Ampline is class, even down to the rude fruit artwork. ‘Fallout And Fire’ is made up of few ingredients but all of them flawless: a simple, twangy guitar rhythm, a goosebump-raising chorus and Kelley’s vocals. As soon as she comes in, time seems suspended and all you want to do is focus on that rich, emotive voice that’s graced so many good records before. (SoundsXP) with support from: GOLDEN GRRRLS Scotland's ramshackle pop pups Golden Grrrls should go platinum with this blast of scuzzy fun. With a nod towards two frantic 80s shouty jangle merchants, Girls At Our Best and the Flatmates, it obeys the magical rule of bowing out long before your egg has boiled. Oooh and B-side Red Sea may be a little more grungy but it's no less appealing. More please!.
