On November 5th 2012, Hurricane Sandy engulfed the Norton's now defunct warehouse in Red Hook, Brooklyn, NY, destroying much of the label’s stock of vinyl and CDs, as well as Billy & Miriam's own personal collection of rock’n’roll ephemera. The scale of the loss was immense and at the time of writing this in mid-December 2012, Norton is still working with volunteers to clean up the warehouse and save as much flood damaged stock as possible.
