I blame the players more than Moyes. The same guys who won the league by 11 points last year have been hit and miss all season - but admittedly the league is tougher this season. They're still not playing well. It's not tactical and there don't seem to have been any fallings out. Both RVP and Giggs have been quick to quash any rumours.
Things haven't been helped by injuries to Vidic, Ferdinand, Evans, Jones, Carrick, Fellaini, Nani, RVP and Rooney amongst others - so keeping a settled team has been difficult. Also, United have conceded more goals than any other team in the last ten minutes of the game. So there is an element of bad luck without a doubt.
It's like people say (Warnock bangs on about it until he's blue in the face!) - when your luck's down then things don't go your way. I don't think United have had the rub of the green at all this season (and things like conceding 3 pens v Liverpool doesn't help). Saying that - Moyes has had an awful lot of bad luck, but on balance, over the past 20 years United have had plenty of lucky breaks, late goals and so on. So no complaints here. What goes around...
I still think Moyes should stay. I think he should be allowed to build a team and see what happens next season when the dust has settled and moves to and from have been made. This season has been a mess. We're left with, at very best, an outside chance of a European spot, although that's unlikely. Personally I'd rather we didn't get Europa league. My head says that even if my heart doesn't, because I think it'll give us a better chance of getting top 4 next season. If we fail to do that, then it's time to look at a change at the top. But give Moyes next season.
Plus we'll easily brush aside Bayern and end up winning the Champion's League, right? So it'll be a good season after all
