Atomic Cafe
Tie in album to the 1982 film of the same name; A collection of 1940s and 1950s United States government issued propaganda films designed to reassure Americans that the atomic bomb was not a threat to their safety. The soundtrack features a mixture of country, blues, bluegrass and gospel all on the theme of the atom bomb and atomic power, interspersed with dialogue from the film.

Good choice VV. Wasn't particularly familiar with JPM, apart from the Bonne Annee 45 and a couple of other odd tracks. Plenty good stuff I'd not heard before on that album.

Back From The Grave volumes 9 & 10
(2014)
18 years after the release of volume 8, comes volumes 9 & 10 of this essential series of compilation albums. Most compilers of these sort of comps are content to find a couple of killer, unheard tracks that will sell the LP and then fill the rest of the grooves with sub standard filler or songs already comped elsewhere; not Tim Warren of Crypt Records. He has spent 18 years finding killer, uncomped and literally unheard snarling, raw, primitive, snotty garage punk gems. Some of these tracks are taken from literally the only known copy of the original 45s. Not only that, Tim has also tracked down members of several of the bands and includes quotes from them in the extensive liner notes.
Quality control is still as good as when Tim made the first BFTG back in 1984. As always with Crypt, the transfer from original vinyl to compilation has been done with the utmost care, retaining all the fire of the original pressings.
