Watching Burt Lancaster in Zulu Dawn yesterday I was struck by the fact that this guy had obviously made a fabulous living out of the profession but couldn't even be bothered to sound like anything plausible within the context. As I'd missed the start when his character was introduced I had literally no idea whether he was supposed to be Irish, Afrikaner or just a lost American. So aside from Johnny Depp in the Pirate films, Sean Connery in anything and of course the glorious Dick Van Dyke in Chitty/Poppins what else has had you chuckling at their ineptitude?
