Hmm, to be fair thought saying that Peep Show isn't funny because you've only seen the first 2 episodes of Season 5 is like saying The Clash are shit because you've only listened to Cut the Crap... or something. Give Series 1 and 2 a go before you write it off entirely...

Well, me and the wife laughed a lot this episode. The Barney bits were funny!

I totally agree with Westie's comments - you do get more out of it if you've seen the previous series.

Hmm I don't think the daily mail would bother but if they did i'd probably go along with it - there's something really worrying about getting a teenage boy to suck the cock of a grown man for comedy value?
I think he was a minor as far as homosexuality goes and even not as a minor it just wasn't funny. It was a shocker and you can't be right in the head if you found it funny or suitable. I laugh at most things but I draw the line at that - kiddie fiddling/abuse, the only subject that makes me want to slit throats. And how many times did they want to say 'suck' in that episode. A complete let down.

It's probably because i'm a mum but i'd like to think that even without children i'd grimace at that. I'm no mary whitehouse but jesus christ!

I guess even the funniest show crosses the line sometimes. I looked at my husband and rolled my eyes thinking they went way too far for a laugh on that one. It also ended the show so it did spoil the ending. I think it's a problem a lot of comedians have sometimes... knowing where to draw the line for a laugh. However I guess you've got to remember all the good laughs they have given you in the past and if that's not enough for you to get over this one then don't watch it. As for me they made a bad joke and it pretty much ruined the episode. Out of all the Peep Shows I'd say maybe 3 of them have been that bad and it won't stop me from watching next week.
