As a fourth generation Everton fan, it's a pleasure to see the toffeemen gracing an FA cup semi-final for the first time in quite a while. But am I being optimistic in thinking we could make the final?

Utd aren't exactly on top form at present, so maybe this is a good time to meet them. But we rarely do well against the 'top-four'...

Obviously hoping for a striking return to (mid-season) form in both this and the Porto game, but despite what my heart says my head thinks it could well turn out to be a bumpy ride this week, though I'll be delighted to be proven wrong! Having said that, if we were to go out of a competition by any team I'd plump for the likes of Everton or Villa (what's happened to them???), I agree with the summing up of the great job Moyes has done there - though still think he should've jumped on board at United when he had the chance post-Preston

I suspect Moyse is Siralicks favoured choice as his heir. It may be an astute move if United's debt levels are to be believed. By the time Moyse takes over it could be to take Jo on loan again... Moyse does have a tremendous gift though. How many players do Eveton sign or release? It's like a family there, turnover's low and even quality players who normally would move on to gain pots like Arteta, Cahill, Lescott, etc dont. At the start of this season they were written off because Carsley and Graveson, two of the grafters left at the same time and even then Phil Chuckle suddenly turns into a top player. I'd like them more if they didn't score such a high percentage of their goals from set pieces (we score none that way but then again we're pants) but hats off to the bug eyed supremo.
