the kids that my girlfriend works with (5-15 year olds in haringey with learning difficulties & severe behavioural problems etc) had a week-long music workshop back in march. basically they gave them a pretty well-equipped temporary recording studio, showed them how to work the mixing desk, use samples in reason™ and stuff and let them do whatever they wanted.

the tracks up on this myspace page are the results. even though they're not strictly speaking an XP-centric genre, please have a listen because it's really awesome! especially the rapping on "dynamite"..

any feedback would be great, at some point i think they'll be lobbying haringey council for further funding to set up a permanent music facility for the kids so the more listeners the better!

That's better than a lot of the other hippity hop requests I get from UK rappers on My Space. Good Stuff.

Only had time to listen to the chicken song (neat link to pie thread alert) and the dynamite one, but yeah, good stuff. There's a riff on the second of those that's annoyingly familiar, but I can't place it?
