Off my mittens on ecstacy at Clockwork Orange all nighters in the early 90's. That's my main memory of the place.

Seen quite a few gigs there too over the years but can't think who as I always get gigs in the Astoria mixed up with ones in the Town & Country Club/London Forum. Fairly sure that I saw the Cooper Temple Clause in the Astoria. It was feckin' loud!

Horrible horrible venue especially when it was full and you were trying to get out being pushed down the stairs while bouncers shouted at you...sort of like a hazing by drug-crazed security team on an army assault course...
If i had to pick a place to turn into a total unnecessary tube station i would probably have picked the Astoria.
