I've often found myself ranting about this band. Especially if I've

a) had 7 pints

or

b) recently had to endure one of their sub Bon Jovi dressed up as Kings Of Leon shite songs.

Stuart Braithwaite (Mogwai) has summed them up perfectly in this review for NME:

"God, this is fucking awful. Really, really, really, really, really shite. Utter bollocks. A total waste of tape, hard drive space or whatever poor piece of technical equipment was used to document this drivel. Seriously, this is of no worth whatsoever, to anyone, it's no use for anything at all. Fuck me. ARRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHH.
Peoeple who buy this should be sterilised."

I suspect Mona would probably say the same about Mogwai. Which doesn’t change the fact that Mona are just record company puppets and you can almost see their PR strings whenever they feature in the press. It's always especially funny when a band like that assert how they're making it on their own terms...

I would have thought that “after 7 pints” is the only time when Mona become at all tolerable!
