Kev - thanks for the link to medway eyes, I know the guy who runs it but though I live in Medway we're going to run this one in Folkestone.

All - As for the ticket prices I think Bola/Trev/Bovine are right BUT I also think they are a bit spoilt by living in London. From experience tickets are more expensive in the sticks - I'm sure no-one here would even consider paying a tenner to see a pink floyd tribute, but they pack 'em in here in Medway! We're going to have a meeting with the venue owner on Sunday and see what he thinks people will pay - we're not adverse to hosting an alldayer to accomodate more bands if it brings more money in.

One thing for certain is there will be no guest list regardless of how important the band think they are - every guest list spot is another tenner lost for the charity!

I don't know why but covers bands are always expensive. They tend to appeal to people who buy their music in petrol stations and haven't heard a new record for twenty years. They don't usually do gigs but the chance of seeing a band pretending to be a band they saw all those years ago is worth taking up. They are not your average gig goer. Don't set prices against that criteria.
