Can anyone recommend any good CD albums of music that influenced the Cramps? I have 3 or 4 of the old Born Bad LPs but I'd prefer it on CD. I know there's some bootlegs called Songs The Cramps Taught Us (Volumes 1 to 3) but they go for about £20 each on eBay. Just wondered if there are others I don't know about that are cheaper or perhaps a box set of something similar?

i'd say anything by Link Wray, Roky Erickson and Hasil Adkins. lots of trashy 60's surf stuff like The Triumphs (amazing) and maybe more mainstream stuff like The Ventures? i dunno really though, lots of good reference points would probably be Crypt Records reissues/compilations like the 'Back from the Grave' stuff (i know they covered the Crusher by the Novas from the first BFTG).
