Anyone else hear it? I don't know how far Penge is from Hemel but it's a bloody long way and I heard it around 6:30 this am. Thought at the time it sounded like a bomb but assumed it was just something minor like a car backfiring really. Reminded me of the days following 9/11 when every time you'd hear a low flying plane outside you half expected to hear a crashing sound seconds later. |

I didn't hear it but I can see the smoke, its very eerie. My friend lives 5 minutes walk away from where it happened and he said that the whole house shook and apparently their neighbours windows smashed. Hes a bit of a film type person so he filmed it and sent the film to the BBC. |

I only live five miles away from the blast but managed to sleep through it. Created a spetacular sly line earlier this evening. |

it was damn inconsiderate of the bbc to postpone sunday mornings match of the day rerun to show several hours of smoke, seeing as i woke early on purpose (and with a hangover) by the time i actually got out of bed the sky to the north of Bow was getting darker which i can only assume was the smoke cloud bbc news 24 are always ridiculous because there is never enough 'news' to fill the time. their coverage of the bombings was crap because they didnt know what was going on so they just filled it with 'experts' guessing. how many times can someone tell you that thee was a loud bang? off to panic buy some petrol now |
