Bola, my son Chipper Chaz tried to join but it wouldn't let him. He was quite sad about it. Why would that be?

I wish they'd update on the back of transfers, so I can draft Taarabt into my ex-Forest/Lens team. If Hull do employ Lee Camp then I'll even have a full team of proper ex-players (though not a full squad unless a couple of strikers are licked up late on). I'll only sign up that team to the head-to head if it looks like there's an odd number. They'll lose every week.

So erm Bola - this is weird. Chaz says he never even tried to join our league. The following took place last night:

Me: So chaz I spoke to Bola and he said to try putting the code in again and see what the error message is.
Chaz: Say what now?
Me: You know - fantasy football - you created a team and then said you'd join our music league.
Chaz: No. No idea what you're talking about.
Me: (perplexed expression) Hello! What are you talking about? You created a team, remember you chose a logo for your shirts and then I-
Chaz: - Mum, it never happened. You must have dreamt it.
Me: I never did. You chose your team and we kept putting the code in and-
Chaz: - and once again, it never happened.
Me: (speechless - for once)
Chaz: But now that you've mentioned it, I will join and join your league.
Me: (Still speechless)
Chaz: Looks like dementia is kicking in faster than we thought it would hey?

Chaz exits the room. Me still speechless. The end. True story.

Never played this version of the FF before. How do the subs work in this? If I change players now do I get their points too (if they play after today) and do I lose any points of those substituted?
