I'm sitting awake because our little baby boy is obviously too excited about his first Christmas to sleep, and so i figured I'd take the time to wish you all a Happy Christmas and New Year.

What are everyone's reflections of the year and hopes/aims for the new year?

Was a big year for me, lots of amazing happenings. My main aim for the new year is to get back to London, as me and my girlfriend miss it sooooo much. Not gonna be easy with a little baby but where there's a will there's a way.

What about you lot?

Happy Christmas to the Horses family and everyone else.

Main aim is to generally be in better health! Also tart up my website and get more covered on it and find more great new bands. We have a monthly high of over 100,000 hits to build on, so that's the goal there, but doing so while still only covering music we like.

Also to get more done for SoundsXP as I've had to have some time off recently - and get the free MP3 section regularly updated again (providing the all-commanding editors don't mind that is!)

I for some reason relapsed to childhood and woke up at quarter to four. Managed to get back to sleep until half six though. Quiet day. Just me, my parents and my Grandad who generally doesn't know what time of day it is any more. We've got him up for Christmas dinner (vegan nut roast for me). Should be nice though, it's looking like it could be his last.

My son and his brothers are up tomorrow so chaos will ensue then and interrupt my Boxing Day football extravaganza...

Hope everyone had a great Christmas (oh dear bovey - sorry to read that tale of woes above).

Just back from the folks place in Wales. Had a good one, even went out to the pub (it's a scary thing to do back home).

2013 has been a very tough year on many fronts, but one sprinkled with three or four weekends that have given me memories I'll take with me for a long time.

My 2014 resolution is to try my best to make some new friends, because, with the exception of SoundsXP's own Kev W and a couple of others, most of the ones I currently have are crap.

Aw Horses, hope your little one had a lovely time. Sorry Bov, you've had a nightmare. I hope new year 's eve fairs better. I had a great but busy christmas. Moving next weekend . Hope to qualify to practice hypnotherapy next year and hold on to my current job, which I love. Half way through training so looking forward to practicising. Want to go to more gigs this year. Money and time will tell if I can.

My only wish this year was for my nephew, born with an unusual disorder, to walk and with physio and special shoes he managed to walk to me last week. Needless to say I cried my heart out. Nothing else mattered so I can tick this off as a good year.
