Was it really 2007 when we first heard Manchester’s Amida and their excellent Class of 2000 track. Since then they have had releases on the likes of Jigsaw Records, Fika Recordings, Wee Pop and Plastilina Records.
Their latest single Are You on Fire has just been released by Dufflecoat Records.
This new 7” from Dufflecoat Records is a Manchester indie pop band with 70’s punk vibe combined with the right amount of jangling guitar riffs that will make you tap your toes and bob your head while listening to it. – Twelve Inch Heaven
Amida's 7" EP for Dufflecoat Records is poppy and punky. Side A's songs "Are you on fire" and "Uncross your fingers" are short and energetic guitar pop thrash with catchy melodies and an infectious urgency. – Trip TV
New EP filled with classically delivered guitar-pop with an ode to Pavement and Wedding Present. Basically, this means, for those of us familiar with this band’s work, any hopes harboured that Are You On Fire was going to feature five tracks of grime-induced doom metal were, alas, way off the mark. – Dukla Prague Away Kit

"skeletal, minor key pop ballads and sad, strange guitar instrumentals" Stereo Sanctity
"So you saw Marine Girls 30 yrs ago? Well tonight I saw The Choo Choos. In your face gramps" - Did Not Chart
"The Choo Choo Trains are a London based trio, and are probably the best reason I will ever have to use the term “Ones to watch”. " ffaannggrrll
"There’s the spirit of 60s girl group pop at the heart of this tape. Colours reaches for the Spector sound on a budget and Rocket Bicycle captures the innocence of the Brill Building sound with a wink to Carole King’s songwriting." Did Not Chart.

Making indiepop on and off since 1988. Mostly off. Their last release was the Black Tag Parade EP released on Dufflecoat Records back in July.
"Ah some good old indie pop thrash, fuzzy and noisy mixed into some lovely pop grooves." - Trip TV
