Also no idea why it was recorded! They've turned the lyris into Welsh too - but not all of them, so some lines are in English. Bonus points for doing the whole thing with the cheapest keyboard beat you could possibly find.

I've included Fatima Mansions earlier in the thread. This couldn't be more different from The Scarecrow though. Only technically a cover too. REM get the writing credit but it's really a reaction to a decent band making a mis-step (or at least that's where it starts from) and a bit of a self-warning, landing as it does in an otherwise largely acoustic songwritery/straight covers album.

Whatever it is, it's ace.
