That's a great link for the all female bands Kev. I'll have to take some time to check out the links, although bands as good as The Luv'd Ones, Continental Co-Ets & The Hurtin' Kind are few and far between. Hopefully they'll be at least one or two great bands there that I've not heard before.
Think you and I got the same search results with regards to The Pretty Kittens; that interview was all I could find too. That picture was used on the cover of Girls In The Garage volume 1, but the band don't appear on that or any of the subsequent GITG LPs.

Not sure about the rest of the groups, but the information on the Tremelons is quite inaccurate.
Their only 45 under The Tremelons name was Theme For A DJ / Please Let Me Know on the Mirwood label. As The Luv'd Ones they released Up Down Sue / I'm Feeling Fine on White Oak and I'm Leaving You / Walking The Dog and Dance Kid Dance / I'm Leaving You, both on Dunwich. Several previously unreleased tracks have been released subsequently on a the album Truth Gotta Stand on Sundazed. A Tremelons EP with the two tracks from the 45 and two previously unreleased tracks has also appeared.
Incidently, when Jimi Hendrix died, the remaining members of his Band Of Gypseys formed a new band with Luv'd Ones guitarist / singer Char Vinnedge.

Well I've attempted to do some research into The Pretty Kittens. In a past life before people just looked up rare songs and listened to them on the internet, I used to find rare records for people. I only had one failure, and that was a supposed Australian 7" of 'Turquoise Days' by Echo & The Bunnymen - but I spoke to Will Sergeant and he said he'd never heard of it. So it might not even exist. Anyway, I had a pretty good track record.

I can find no trace whatsoever that The Pretty Kittens ever released any records at all. That's not to say definitively that they didn't, but if they did then they're unbelievably rare. So maybe they just performed live.

I've just spoken to the guy who wrote that article about the girl bands. He says he doesn't think The Pretty Kittens ever released any records.

Seems pretty definite that they never made a record, but guitarist Bobbi Jo (far right in the photo) did release a solo CD in 1996.

Definitely not seen the middle one - not sure about the others. They're not overly familiar, although I'm sure I've seen colour photos of Ronnie in the dress in the first photo before.
