Sorry for the delay in posting, but thanks to everyone at SoundsXP for Thursday. T'was a great night. Shame the sound wasn't too hot, but as Neil said, that could have been avoided if people had arrived earlier. Also, if the soundman had paid attention to the bands when they were playing and didn't just talk to his girlfriend all night then that might have helped. Nevermind.
First, and as it turns out last, time of seeing Bridge Gang. Loved the songs. If anyone has a CD copy of any of them (i only have vinyl) i'd love a copy. Want to get them on in the car. Lyrically very astute, with a clear love of pop music. Teenage Heart is begging for a home somewhere. The only thing that slightly soured the performance for me was that they didn't watch any of the other bands. That's a shame considering that the Sequins were good enough to lend their kit, despite having to drive all the way from Coventry. Nevermind (do i sound like a generation x'r? Worse than Hywel with all that "chat" business)..
In related news, did anyone else see that David Bowie has named Honeytrap as his new favourite band! Jaws could be heard hitting the floor all over Coventry at the weekend. And i was in London. Great news!
