No little steps, I just went into work one day and suddenly discovered that people were expecting me sort things out/tell them what to do.

I still find that remarkable on a daily basis.

1. Seeing everything I hated about the past coming back dressed in the triumphant colours of the future.

2. Talking to a young man about politics and then realising he wasn't even born when Thatcher was in power.

3. The first time my nephew drove me back to the train station in his car.

4. The first time I saw Stuart Broad bowl. I thought his dad was still playing somewhere.

5. Playing a PS2 game but quickly stopping because it felt like a sickening waste of my life.

Everyone I know having children, culminating in my best friend recently having a son.

Going from thinking I didn't care what most others thought about me to actually knowing I didn't.

Feeling nostalgia when others are feeling novelty.
