Running one of our favourite record labels around at the moment, we’re delighted to finally welcome Sean to hit the decks. I’m thrilled to be welcoming David Tattersall from The Wave Pictures as our guest DJ this month. Hot on the heels of their triumphant set at the (Not) Winter Sprinter, The Wave Pictures have put out some of our favourite albums over past few years including Instant Coffee Baby and If You Leave It Alone.

We’ll also be joined by John Jervis and Ben Clancy from The Hangover Lounge. After DJing at their club last year I’ve been itching to invite them to the night. You can expect to hear plenty of Go-Betweens so be sure to get there for 9pm for their set and guaranteed free entry before 10pm.

Plus you can get your hands on our new Winter fanzine! It features an exclusive interview with The Vaselines and we talk about Orange Juice with the legendary Edwyn Collins. We’ve got interviews with Ballboy, Northern Portrait, MJ Hibbett & the Validators and Onward Chariots. Brilldream reviews the Big Pink Cake Weekender, whilst we catch up with How Does It Feel To Be Loved?, WeePOP! and dirtyconverse DISCO.

And we're giving away Christmastime, Approximately from our friends at Where It’s At Is Where You Are. It features 20 tracks from the likes of Help Stamp Out Loneliness, Betty and the Werewolves, Eux Autres and Hexicon.

FREE before 10pm

This month I’m delighted to welcome back Helen and Bob from Shrag as our guest DJs. I was completely blown away by their gig at the Lexington last week playing plenty from their awesome second album Life! Death! Prizes!. They DJed for us last year and played a brilliant set of The Go-Betweens, Hefner, Best Coast, Josef K and The Fall so I’m thrilled they’re our first returning DJs. You can listen back to their previous set on Spotify to get you in the mood.

http://open.spotify.com/user/scaredtoda ... tdx0DlHyUr

We’ll also be joined by Sam from Mind Your Own Business who’ll be on before Shrag. In these hard times of libraries closing, the NHS crumbling and crushing levels of debt, we’re keeping it FREE before 10pm this month. Here’s the Facebook event - http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=157157097672067 - please invite your friends along!

If you’re going to the Sarandon album launch at Brixton Windmill before Scared To Dance, you can get into the club night for £3 if you show a flyer on the door.

Expect to hear a mix of indiepop, post-punk and new wave favourites plus the best in C86, Sarah, Postcard and much more!

What would you like to hear?

Life! Death! Prizes! by Shrag, our guest DJs at Scared To Dance this Saturday, is currently blaring out of my speakers. I've dug out a few of their videos for your enjoyment. First up to wet your appetite is my favourite single from last year, "Rabbit Kids"

This month we’re welcoming back Elizabeth Morris from Allo Darlin’ as our guest DJ for her annual set! Elizabeth DJed for us in April last year and played a fantastic set consisting of Eux Autres, Paul Simon, Jonathan Richman and Talulah Gosh so her set is definitely not to be missed.

Drowned in Sound’s News Editor Luke Slater will be playing an eclectic mix early on in the night. What would you like to hear? Please post your requests!

FREE entry before 10pm!

Expect to hear the best in indiepop, post-punk and new wave.

This month we’re welcoming Colm McCrory from Help Stamp Out Loneliness as our guest DJ. HSOL have released one of my favourite albums of this year with their debut LP, I urge you all to check it out! Colm has superb taste in indiepop from putting on Heavenly in his native Belfast to playing a live session recently on Marc Riley’s 6 Music show.

We’ll also be joined by my old friend Ed Lugg who’ll be spinning his unique take on post-punk from 9pm.

What would you like to hear? Please send in your requests!

What would you like to hear on Saturday night? I'd love to hear your requests so keep them coming in.

Remember it's FREE before 10pm and £3 with a membership card.

Saturday will also be our Spring fanzine launch! It features interviews with Acid House Kings, Butcher Boy, Help Stamp Out Loneliness, The Felt Tips and Horowitz. Plus articles by Read and Shout, Unpop, Librarians Wanted, Stolen Wine Social Club, Pebble Records and KinGem.
