Nah, he just fell over and tried to regain his balance. Thoughts?

When I saw it it looked as if he was just regaining his balance - none of the Spurs players, specifically Parker, complained. Appears to have only become an issue cos he scored the pen. I'm no fan but this constant effort to portray the guy as 'talented but unhinged' is getting a bit boring.

Plus half the 'wacky' stories about him turn out to be made up. He should just get on with football instead of trying to be a 'character'. He's a good player.

At times I feel sorry for Mario, because of his reputation (which isn’t all of his own making) he often doesn’t get the leeway afforded to some other players. His dismissals at The Hawthorns last year and Anfield this season were both extremely harsh. When against Chelsea he stayed on his feet, rather than go down for a penalty that would have seen his opponent sent off, there wasn’t a word of praise to counterbalance the times he’s widely chastised. Yesterday Van Persie displayed a t-shirt message in exactly the same manner Mario did in the derby, one got booked and the other didn’t. For all that though sometimes he doesn’t help himself and to me it looked like a deliberate stamp on Parker. I don’t think for one minute he was aiming for his head as suggested ( given he didn’t look round once) but I do think he flicked back with the intention of catching Parker, and that’s not right, someone could lose an eye for something like that. I don’t even think it was calculating or malicious, he just has this habit of doing things on impulse without being switched on to the possible consequences of his actions. Whether you can prove conclusively that it was deliberate though is a different story, so it’ll be interesting to see the FA response, pending Webb’s match report. We’ve had a shocking run of wrong or dubious decisions going against us the last two months so I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t nice to get one go our way. If he is suspended it'll be a blow because we're down to only two strikers again then.
